About Hop’s Featherfest

Hop’s Featherfest is a “My Little Pony” convention taking place in Vienna, Austria.

Despite the event taking place in Vienna, the official event language is English. Next to international visitors most attendees are from Austria and Germany though, so among inofficial gatherings you may hear other languages as well.

Program

Normally going for two days on a weekend, Saturday and Sunday, there’s all the program you would expect from similar events, including but not limited to various panels, workshops, and pony karaoke!

On Saturday evening there’s the concert and later DJ party with musicians from the community.

On Sunday afternoon, before the closing ceremony, there’s the Charity Auction where donated objects, often pieces of art or rare merchandise, are auctioned to the audience to raise funds for a charity chosen by the event crew.

Guests

Usually a few special guests are invited by the con crew. They are usually from the fandom / community, including visual artists, musicians and voice actors. Maybe one day there’ll be a guest that worked on some official pony media, like a show writer, voice actor or comic artist!

Attendees

While most attendees are adult fans of the fourth generation of My Little Pony, namely “Friendship is Magic”, everypony is welcome! There’s usually art and merch of other pony generations and related fandoms, including crossovers.

In the beginning was the word…

…and the word was, “Let’s finally make a pony con in Austria!”

And so there was. Hop’s Featherfest first happened in 2024 and was well received by most attendees. With around 100 people around it’s considered a comfy alternative to big cons with thousands of visitors.
