Event Regulations
§ 1 Instructions from Staff
Event organizers, staff, volunteers, and security personnel will be identifiable by special markings (e.g., T-shirts, buttons). Their instructions must be followed at all times. Violations may disrupt the event and result in legal consequences (including under § 285 of the Austrian Penal Code).
§ 2 Admission & Tickets
- Entry to the event is only permitted upon payment of the admission fee, as set by the organizer. The fee is non-negotiable.
- Each attendee will receive a ticket, which must be visibly worn at all times. The organizer or authorized staff may inspect it at any time.
§ 3 House Rules & Ejection
The organizer reserves the right to eject individuals without refund, particularly in cases of:
- Violations of house rules,
- Harassment of other attendees,
- Disruption of the event.
§ 4 Photo & Audio Recordings
- Private recordings are generally permitted, except:
- Recordings in restrooms/changing rooms without consent.
- All recordings must be respectful (privacy must be observed).
- Publication by the organizer:
Attendees agree that photos/videos taken during the event may be published free of charge. There is no right to object. - Press & Content Creators:
Professional recordings (e.g., for media) require prior accreditation by the organizer.
§ 4.1 Usage Rights for Attendee Recordings
- Private use only: Recordings may only be used for personal purposes.
- Prohibited:
- Live broadcasts (internet, TV, radio, etc.),
- Distribution to third parties for commercial purposes.
- Exception: Accredited media representatives.
§ 5 Weapons & Dangerous Objects
- Prohibited items:
- Illegal objects (under Austrian law),
- Pyrotechnics (fireworks, firecrackers, etc.),
- Animal/person deterrents (pepper spray, stun guns),
- Metal cosplay weapons (even if blunt).
- Conditionally allowed (subject to inspection):
- Objects with metal/hardwood components,
- Items over 2m in length (if deemed safe),
- Airsoft guns (unloaded and with safety markings).
- Permitted:
- LARP weapons (foam, cardboard, Worbla, etc.),
- Musical instruments (e.g., bagpipes – at the organizer’s discretion).
- Final authority lies with security personnel.
§ 6 Security Checks
- Dangerous items will be confiscated (illegal items will be handed to authorities).
- Bag checks are mandatory and legally authorized.
- Resistance will result in immediate ejection (§ 3).
§ 7 Exceptions
Sections §§ 5–6 do not apply to:
- Authorized personnel (e.g., martial arts demonstrators),
- Police officers on duty.
§ 8 Drugs
- Possession, consumption, or distribution of illegal substances (per narcotics laws) is prohibited and will be reported.
- Violations lead to ejection (§ 3).
§ 9 Alcohol & Smoking
- Smoking/e-cigarettes only in designated areas.
- Alcohol:
- Small personal quantities are tolerated.
- Excessive consumption may result in ejection.
§ 10 Animals
- Pets are not allowed.
- Exception: Service animals (e.g., guide dogs).
§ 11 Handling of Property
- Damages (walls, furniture, etc.) must be compensated by the responsible party.
- Posters/flyers require organizer approval.
